How do I install Ventoy on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open Ventoy from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S ventoy-bin

ventoy-bin is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing Ventoy?

  1. Open Ventoy from your app menu.
  2. It installs these commands: ventoy, ventoy-extend-persistent, ventoy-persistent, ventoygui, ventoyplugson and ventoyweb.
  3. Run pacman -Qi ventoy-bin to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove Ventoy?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns ventoy-bin

    Ventoy on CachyOS: questions

    Is Ventoy in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The ventoy-bin package is in the cachyos repo, version 1.1.18-1, built 2026-10-10. Install it with sudo pacman -S ventoy-bin.

    Do I need an AUR helper for Ventoy?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the Ventoy command?
