How do I install ProtonPlus on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open ProtonPlus from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S protonplus

protonplus is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing ProtonPlus?

  1. Open ProtonPlus from your app menu.
  2. Or run protonplus in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi protonplus to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove ProtonPlus?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns protonplus

    Is ProtonPlus in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The protonplus package is in the cachyos repo, version 0.6.8-2, built 2026-10-22. Install it with sudo pacman -S protonplus.

    Do I need an AUR helper for ProtonPlus?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the ProtonPlus command?

    protonplus. The package is called protonplus.
