How do I install Clementine on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open Clementine from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S clementine

clementine is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing Clementine?

  1. Open Clementine from your app menu.
  2. It installs these commands: clementine and clementine-tagreader.
  3. Run pacman -Qi clementine to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove Clementine?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns clementine

    Is Clementine in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The clementine package is in the cachyos repo, version 1.4.1+131+g69ae62d68-1, built 2026-09-14. Install it with sudo pacman -S clementine.

    Do I need an AUR helper for Clementine?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the Clementine command?
