How do I install SpoofDPI on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal:

sudo pacman -S spoof-dpi-bin

spoof-dpi-bin is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing SpoofDPI?

  1. Run spoof-dpi in a terminal.
  2. The package ships the systemd unit spoof-dpi.service. Read the project docs before you enable it.
  3. Run pacman -Qi spoof-dpi-bin to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove SpoofDPI?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns spoof-dpi-bin

    Is SpoofDPI in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The spoof-dpi-bin package is in the cachyos repo, version 0.10.11-2, built 2024-08-26. Install it with sudo pacman -S spoof-dpi-bin.

    Do I need an AUR helper for SpoofDPI?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the SpoofDPI command?

    spoof-dpi. The package is called spoof-dpi-bin.
