How do I install QtScrcpy on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open QtScrcpy from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S qtscrcpy

qtscrcpy is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing QtScrcpy?

  1. Open QtScrcpy from your app menu.
  2. It installs these commands: qtscrcpy and sndcpy.sh.
  3. Run pacman -Qi qtscrcpy to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove QtScrcpy?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns qtscrcpy

      How do I input flags to manually add conditions to QtScrcpy? for regular scrcpy I add HID flags to make the keyboard and mouse work differently but I see none of that in the gui and no way to add flags --keyboard=uhid --mouse=uhid along with framerate flags

    Is QtScrcpy in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The qtscrcpy package is in the cachyos repo, version 4.2.1-1, built 2026-09-27. Install it with sudo pacman -S qtscrcpy.

    Do I need an AUR helper for QtScrcpy?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the QtScrcpy command?

    The package installs qtscrcpy and sndcpy.sh.
