How do I install qBittorrent (Qt5) on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open qBittorrent (Qt5) from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S qbittorrent-qt5

qbittorrent-qt5 is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing qBittorrent (Qt5)?

  1. Open qBittorrent (Qt5) from your app menu.
  2. Or run qbittorrent in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi qbittorrent-qt5 to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove qBittorrent (Qt5)?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns qbittorrent-qt5

    Yes. The qbittorrent-qt5 package is in the cachyos repo, version 4.6.7-1.2, built 2025-10-24. Install it with sudo pacman -S qbittorrent-qt5.
