How do I install discord-screenaudio on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open discord-screenaudio from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S discord-screenaudio

discord-screenaudio is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing discord-screenaudio?

  1. Open discord-screenaudio from your app menu.
  2. Or run discord-screenaudio in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi discord-screenaudio to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove discord-screenaudio?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns discord-screenaudio

      I can't really say when it stopped working, but I can't stream with audio anymore even if Discord-screenaudio detects the virtual mic input. Also all the microphone and audio icons are in a blue color. I don't know why. Any help is appreciated

    Yes. The discord-screenaudio package is in the cachyos repo, version 1.10.1-1, built 2024-04-03. Install it with sudo pacman -S discord-screenaudio.

    Do I need an AUR helper for discord-screenaudio?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the discord-screenaudio command?
