How do I install Vesktop on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open Vesktop from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S vesktop-bin

vesktop-bin is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing Vesktop?

  1. Open Vesktop from your app menu.
  2. Or run vesktop in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi vesktop-bin to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove Vesktop?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns vesktop-bin

    Vesktop on CachyOS: questions

    Is Vesktop in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The vesktop-bin package is in the cachyos repo, version 1.6.8-2, built 2026-11-01. Install it with sudo pacman -S vesktop-bin.

    Do I need an AUR helper for Vesktop?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the Vesktop command?

    vesktop. The package is called vesktop-bin.
