How do I install Czkawka on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open Czkawka from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S czkawka-gui

czkawka-gui is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

All of these are in the official cachyos repo. Pick one; builds of the same app usually conflict with each other.

What should I do after installing Czkawka?

  1. Open Czkawka from your app menu.
  2. Or run czkawka_gui in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi czkawka-gui to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove Czkawka?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns czkawka-gui

    Czkawka on CachyOS: questions

    Is Czkawka in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The czkawka-gui package is in the cachyos repo, version 12.0.2-1, built 2026-09-10. Install it with sudo pacman -S czkawka-gui.

    Do I need an AUR helper for Czkawka?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the Czkawka command?

    czkawka_gui. The package is called czkawka-gui.

    Which Czkawka package should I pick?

    czkawka-gui is listed first here. The cachyos repo also has czkawka-cli. Install only one of them.
