    1. I got xob running right below my volume module in Polybar, which is in the upper-right corner of the screen. Is it possible to "flip" the bar so that it fills from the top to the bottom? I made a little mockup in GIMP to show how I would like it to look.

    2. The man page says that there is a possible plan for configuration with Xresources. This would be really cool -- is it still a possibility?

    3. I have the config file at /.config/xob/styles.cfg, with three styles: default, volume, and backlight, however, when I run xob with the non-default styles, only the default is being used. And if I remove the default style from the config file and run with the non-default style…

    4. results in bar showing for a split second then disappearing. Adding timeout flag is indifferent. I don't need xob to be listening all the time for some change. I just want it to "show on demand".

    5. I run command and it do nothing, just print . Program does not close. Do not know how to make it work. I'm on Fedora.

    6. The current brightness and volume bar scripts require a Python installation as well as some Python libraries. I propose we also suggest some simpler shell scripts with minimal dependencies. Here are some implementations I've come up with, they work for me but I'm new to shell…

    7. The bar sometimes "blinking" while changing values. After checking the video frame by frame, I've noticed that blinking is the result of redrawing the bar every time, when values change. To solve the issue we can redraw only changed part of the bar. And draw all components of the…

    8. I'm on archlinux + i3wm... When i'm in a fullscreen application with hidden cursor, if I do something to show xob, then my cursor blink when xob appears on screen, there is a way to make only xob bar to show on screen?

    9. As said in the README, xob positions itself relatively to the whole X display. This is pretty inconvenient when one has to keep a single config across several monitor situations.

    10. Hello to the developer of xob! I find your creation really useful, but the recent update has made it "misbehave". Using the volume script on this repo and piping it to xob, on volume change I notice few artifacts and flashing throughout xob. Could this be an issue in my part? Let…

    11. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an option to specify the color of the outline and padding? Presumably a default value could be to fallback to the background color.

    12. Possibly add a link to the following YouTube video Xob - Bar Overlays Add Extra Flair To Any Linux Desktop to help introduce and explain Xob to new users. Also, after significant changes have been made to Xob, perhaps you might contact reviewers on YouTube (such as Brodie…

    13. Perhaps through USR1 signal? Or, by watching file using inotify? Latter could be enabled using a cli flag. For inotify, libfluffy [1] seems good enough? [1]

    14. After reading Appearance I created /.config/xob/styles.cfg as shown here... Then I edited /.config/xob/styles.cfg in the following manner... yet the appearance of xob did not change. By the way, I had heard of "man pages" (manual pages), and perhaps even opened a couple in the…
