I'm using NixOS with Home Manager and run multiple desktop environments/window managers (e.g., Hyprland and others). I want to use different wired configurations depending on which environment I'm currently in. wired only searches for config files in predefined locations:…

I use notify-send -h string:x-canonical-private-synchronous:sink-state to make a notification overwrite a different notification, it appears this flag in notify-send is ignored.

I recently installed Wired though the systemd service and it was working great until I reboot and login. The service fails the condition check? If I manually restart it after logging in everything works as expected

I only want the daemon to start under Hyprland and not under Gnome when using it. A solution might be the systemD attribute ExecCondition. The user would configure the service with a list of values for the env variable $XDGSESSIONDESKTOP of which one needed to be true. Something…

Would it be possible to add an option that disables the "Config was reloaded" notification? I'm using updating my wired config everytime my wallpaper changes and it's annoying. I'd understand if this is a bit of a niche use case and you won't want to add this option though.

I'm new to Wired, just decided to test-drive it. I wanted to set printtofile in wired.ron to a path within my home directory. Is there a way to do this without hardcoding my home directory? Perhaps with tilde expansion (i.e. /wired.log evaluates to /home/myself/wired.log)? If…

Hello, I use XMonad and wired-notify. When the battery is low, xmobar will send notifications to wired-notify. I expect that low-battery notification window to stay on top of any other window during its lifetime. Currently new windows will obscure it. Would it be possible to move…

I'm using Niri as my WM. When I spawn a notification, it creates a new tiled window: If I add a window rule to the Niri config so notifications spawn as a floating window, the notification window becomes 1x1px size.

Ever since upgrading to 26.04 I noticed that letter spacing is just quite unpleasant. This is especially noticeable for notification summary using Ubuntu Bold 16 font. Here is how it looks: This was not an issue on Ubuntu 24.04. I see wired is linked to a wall of system…
- Granular dnd controlClosed
Right now dnd will just block every notification, it would be nice to have a mechanism to allow certain notifications. For example, dnd should block messages, but for volume control, brightness, and low battery warning (especially low battery warning) it should still show the…

Dunst has the ability to make notifications follow either the focus of the mouse, keyboard, or 'none'. From dunst's documentation: follow (values: [none/mouse/keyboard] default: none) Defines where the notifications should be placed in a multi-monitor setup. All values except…
- Icon pathsClosed
Is it possible to pre-define icon paths? Something like what dunst has. Every time I send notifications I have to use absolute paths to the icons. I think some applications I use which send notification do not support this. They just use normal icon names.
