How do I install parui on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal:

sudo pacman -S parui-git

parui-git is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

What should I do after installing parui?

  1. Run parui in a terminal.
  2. Run pacman -Qi parui-git to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove parui?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns parui-git

      I love this application, it's really great, but support for the AUR helper trizen would be amazing. Right now you can specify to use trizen, but it does error once in a while (I think because trizen has some small differences from yay or paru)

    parui on CachyOS: questions

    Is parui in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The parui-git package is in the cachyos repo, version 1.0.19.r0.37017c4-1, built 2026-06-01. Install it with sudo pacman -S parui-git.

    Do I need an AUR helper for parui?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the parui command?

    parui. The package is called parui-git.
