How do I install Hermes Agent on CachyOS?

Run this in a terminal, then open Hermes Agent from your app menu:

sudo pacman -S hermes-agent-desktop

hermes-agent-desktop is in the cachyos repo, the CachyOS project's own package repository, so pacman installs it directly with no AUR helper and no build script. The package is signed with the CachyOS repository key, and pacman checks the signature before it installs.

All of these are in the official cachyos repo. Pick one; builds of the same app usually conflict with each other.

What should I do after installing Hermes Agent?

  1. Open Hermes Agent from your app menu.
  2. Or run hermes-desktop in a terminal.
  3. Run pacman -Qi hermes-agent-desktop to see the installed version and the optional dependencies.

How do I update or remove Hermes Agent?

Update:

sudo pacman -Syu

Remove:

sudo pacman -Rns hermes-agent-desktop

    Is Hermes Agent in the official CachyOS repo?

    Yes. The hermes-agent-desktop package is in the cachyos repo, version 0.22.5-1, built 2026-10-23. Install it with sudo pacman -S hermes-agent-desktop.

    Do I need an AUR helper for Hermes Agent?

    No. It comes from the cachyos repo, so plain pacman installs and updates it, and sudo pacman -Syu keeps it current.

    What is the Hermes Agent command?

    hermes-desktop. The package is called hermes-agent-desktop.
